Long exhale exercise

A Long exhale breathing exercise is excellent if you wish to calm your body. When your exhale is longer than your inhale, the vagus nerve (running from the neck down through the diaphragm) sends a signal to your brain to turn up your parasympathetic nervous system and turn down your sympathetic nervous system which means you go from fight-or-flight mode to rest-and-digest. It makes you feel more centered and calm. This breathing technique is an excellent way to work on mindfulness and meditation.

Have a walk with me in the fairy forest. The sounds of the harp remind me of an enchanted place where you have to walk quietly minding every step.
The branches are swaying gently in the breeze, and the drops of dew are sparkling in the morning sun. Only the singing of the birds are filling the air.
Inhale deep in your belly, inhale the peace and joy of life!
